Evidence between pesticide exposure and development of primary cancer of the central nervous system: A systematic review

The risks and damage caused by occupational exposure to pesticides result from acute intoxication or the cumulative effect of low to moderate doses of pesticides. In Brazil, the mortality rate for CNS neoplasia adjusted for the world population among men and women is 3.94 per 100.00 (data for all age groups, between 2007 and 2017); comparing this value to the rate of the Regional Health (RS) of Francisco Beltrão (8th RS), which is 6.48 per 100.00; there is a significant difference in values. The Southwest of Paraná is a region of intense agricultural production and primary neoplasia of the CNS has a high incidence, especially in the region of Francisco Beltrão.
